Shamu

We went to Sea World yesterday in San Antonio. There were 4 kids ages 18 months to 9, and 5 adults. We planned to arrive there at 10:00a.m. At 12:30 we finally pulled into the gates. The weather was great, it wasn't crowded, and we had a wagon to pull the boys and a stroller for the baby. All we managed to do between the hours of 1 and 5 was see two shows, ride two rides, and splash in some water. I think I can safely say that was way too many people to try and coordinate a theme park day. Not to say it wasn't fun, it was nice, but I like to ride rides and the day was perfect for it. We did however, (my husband and I), take our 3 year old boy on his first "big ride". He was all smiles, raised his hands in the air when we went down the drops and had a hell of a time!! He was so funny, we got out and he raced around to do it again. Meanwhile, my nine year old daughter had her eyes closed and looked like she was gonna hurl. I think she might have actually been chanting "please don't throw up" the first time around. I actually got teary eyed watching my little boy's face light up in anticipation. The last thing we did was watch The Shamu Show. This was nothing like what it used to be, but we got to see a baby whale!! Sooo cute. My son was pretty excited about the whales too. Afterward, he hugs me and says "I'm so happy. I got to see Shampoo!" Then he fell asleep in the wagon. Awwwww!
